Interment in Smyrna Cemetery. Death claimed Smyrna’s nonagenarian, J.W. Estabrook, on Sunday evening about 8:30 at his farm home just south of the village. He had been in failing health for some time but was only confined to his bed two days. The deceased was born in West Sonora, Ohio, 91 years ago. He came to Michigan with his family from Bluffton, Indiana in 1912. He purchased the farm near Smyrna and had resided there since. Five years ago his life’s companion, Cyntha Estabrook, died. Since that time his son, Harry Estabrook and wife have lived in the home and have given the elderly gentleman the best of care. Two other sons, Ed. and Earl, also made their home there. His other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Fred Dumon of near Smyrna; a son, Frank, of Hart; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Green and Mrs. Sarah White of Inglewood, California. Funeral services were held at the late home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 . Rev. Wm. Blanding of this city officiated and burial was in the Smyrna cemetery. Those from away to attend the services were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Estabrook and daughter, Viola, of Hart; also Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Falk and son, Clyde of Grand Rapids.
