Leaves Wife and Five Children. After a week’s illness Byron M. Estep whose home is near the lake on Jordan Lake avenue passed away Sunday evening after a struggle with pneumonia. Mr. Estep has worked for the village much of the time in the thirty years he has lived in Lake Odessa. He and his wife for many years have enjoyed their beauteous gardens of rare flowers under the supervision of the wife. Mr. Estep spent most of his time as a workman of the village, always putting in full time and service. Mr. and Mrs. Estep were people from Sebewa and they still have many friends in that section. He was a kind and loving husband and father and a man whose geniality was enjoyed by all who came to know him. He was 75 years of age and very active for his years. He joined the Baptist church of Sebewa in his early manhood. He leaves the widow and five children, Mrs. Winnie Nash, Don W., and George R. Estep, all of Grand Rapids; Thad H. Estep of Traverse City, and Mrs. Lee Burdick of Hickory Corners; a brother, Charles of Lansing, and six grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends. The funeral was held at the Congregational church, Tuesday afternoon, Rev. George J. Start, the pastor, gave a fine sermon. The music was by Mrs. L. T. Gilson and Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Goodemoot.
