The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, May 7, 1935

Funeral services were held last week in the Lyon M.E. church for Inez Loomis 
Etson, whose death occurred May 1 at her home in Flint.  Burial was in the 
Keefer cemetery.  Mrs. Etson’s life prior to her marriage was spent mostly in 
and around Lyons.  She was an alumna of the Ionia county normal class of 1911, 
and for several years a teacher in the Ionia county schools.  

She was born May 11, 1893, near Bowling Green, Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. Herbert E. Loomis, who with two brothers and a twin sister, Irene, have 
preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband and one son, Jack of Flint; seven sisters, Mrs. 
Blanche Shank of Twining, Mrs. Lester Looman, Mrs. Albert Coil, Misses Helen 
and Alice Loomis, of Flint, Mrs. Royce Whorley and Mrs. Arthur Randall, of 
Ionia.
