Ionia Daily Sentinel – Thursday, 7 November 1918
Mrs. Lucy Lucenida Etson, wife of Wilbur Etson of Lyons, died Sunday at 2 
o’clock at the home of her daughter in Ronald, at the age of 63 years, 2 
months and 21 days.  She was born in Elkland, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, and 
lived there until 21 years ago, when she moved to Michigan, and for five years 
her home was in Muir.  She leaves behind to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. 
William Guild of Ronald and Mrs. B. R. Rich of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. Etta 
Holiday and Frances Akins, and one brother Charley Hart, all of Pennsylvania; 
also two grand children, and many friends who will miss her loving smile and 
kindly ways in their walk of life.  She was laid to rest in the Muir cemetery, 
Tuesday, Nov. 5.
