Portland Observer, 30 Dec 1937

Funeral services were held at the home Sunday for Bert Evans, and burial made in 
Lake Odessa cemetery, with Rev. John H. Stewart, of Portland officiating.  
Besides the three children, Herbert and Eston Evans, and Mrs. Mildred Brown, the 
sister, Mrs. Carrie Aves, and brother Joe, there are five grandchildren.
