Ionia Daily Sentinel, 25 Nov 1916

The funeral service was held over the remains of the late Mrs. Frederick Owen 
Evans at St. John’s Episcopal church on Friday afternoon at two o’clock.  The 
ladies Aid society of the church of which Mrs. Evans was a member, attended in 
a body.  The altar vases were filled with white chrysanthemums, a tribute from 
this society, and later placed upon the casket.  Many beautiful floral tributes 
were sent to the home by friends of the deceased, showing how warm a place she 
held in their hearts.  Mrs. Evans leaves a father and mother, together with 
brothers and sisters in Scotland, one member of the family in New Zealand, and 
another in Australia, to mourn her loss.
