The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, September 14, 1939


Funeral services for Charles Evans, 72, who died at his farm home two miles 
east of Palo were held at the home Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. George Woolcock 
of Ionia officiating.  Burial was in the Palo cemetery.  Friends attended from 
Palo, Stanton, Vickeryville, Carson City, Fenwick, Ionia, Lyons, Battle Creek, 
Jackson, Plymouth, Belding and Detroit.  

He is survived by the widow, a son, Donald, of Lansing, a daughter, Mrs. Leo 
VanVleck, of Ionia, a sister, Mrs. Jessie Newhouse, of Pontiac, and a brother, 
Glenn Evans, of Croton Dam.
