Belding Banner-News, 2 Aug 1962

Mrs. Evelyn E. Evans, 54, of 825 Harrison, died Saturday afternoon in Greenville
Memorial Hospital.  She was born February 2, 1908 at Lakeview, the daughter of
John and Mabel Phillips.  She married George Evans May 7, 1924 and he survives.
 Other survivors are one daughter, Mrs. William (Ruth) Halladay and two
grandchildren, Gerald and Judy Halladay.

Mrs. Evans had worked for Belding Fruit Sales and she was a member of the
Neighborhood Club.  She had lived in this city 35 years.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home with Rev.
H. S. Ellis officiating.  Burial was in River Ridge cemetery.
