Mrs. Frances Evans, 82, a life-long resident of this vicinity, passed away
suddenly Thursday morning at the breakfast table at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Walters where she had made her home for the past three years.

Mrs. Evans was born December 31, 1874 and had lived on Kiddville Street before
going to the Walters home to reside.  She was the widow of Harry Evans and is
survived by one son, Henry Evans of Florida and a foster brother, Ray Forman of
Oxford.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2;30 at Fitzjohn Funeral Home with Rev.
Luther Brokaw officiating and the burial was in Smyrna cemetery.  Pallbearers
were Robert Geister, Melvin Cole, Fred Youngs, Fred Walters, Roy Stevens, and
Earl Stevens.
