Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Dec. 15, 2012

Terrance (T.J.) Evans, 75, of Matherton, passed away Dec. 12, 2012 in Lansing. 
He was born April 24, 1937 in Matherton, the son of Loren and Ernestine 
(Silvernail) Evans.

Terrance married Sharon LaBarr on Nov. 9, 1963 at Carson City Methodist Church. 
He worked for Oldsmobile for 42 years. He was a member of the Hubbardston 
American Legion, Mid-Michigan Blue Grass Music Association, and Fish Creek 
Sportsman Club. He loved Country Music Jams. He played the guitar and sang for 
many Country Music Jams.

Terrance is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sharon Evans of Matherton; 
son, Terry (Kathy) Evans II of Pewamo; grandchildren, Austin Evans and T.J. 
Evans III; sister, Sharon (Judstin) Schmitz of Fowler, Harriet Scheafer of 
Ionia, T. Ann (Chuck) Cunningham of Hubbardston.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers. 

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at Shiloh 
Community Church with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Visitation will be 
held at 1 p.m. until time of service Monday, Dec. 17, 2012.
