Sentinel-Standard - Tuesday January 18, 1938

Death came to Sister M. Honorata, a relieuse of the Dominican order, on Monday 
morning at the hospital of the order of Marywood, the Mother House, of Grand 
Rapids. Sister Honorata underwent several major operations during the past four 
years and had been confined to her bed for about a year. Sister Honorata was 
formerly  known as Marian Evans, daughter of Robert Evans of Fishville, 
Montcalm county. She was 47 years of age at her death. She was a sister of Mrs. 
W. G. Longe, sr., of Ionia, who preceded her in death four years ago. Sister 
Honorata was for several years superior of the St. Joseph's school at Muskegon 
and taught high school classes in Grand Rapids at various times. She was a 
woman of broad field. She leaves one brother, Robert Evans of Bloomington, 
Ill., and a nephew, Robert Greenhoe of Grand Rapids. The funeral will be held 
from the chapel at Marywood at 9:30 on Wednesday morning.
