Death Claims Another Aged Sebewa Pioneer
With the death of Mrs. Susan Evans which occurred Saturday, Sebewa Township 
again loses one of its aged pioneer residents, the majority of whom are rapidly 
passing away.
Mrs. Evans maiden name was Susan Slinchbaugh. She was born in York County, 
Pennsylvania in 1838, where she was married to Mr. Evans in 1867 and shortly 
after came to Michigan settling at Bath. Four years later they located in Sebewa 
spending the remainder of their lives in that township. Mr. Evans having passed 
away three years ago.
One daughter and four sons survive. They are Carrie and Joseph at home; John of 
Owosso; Bert of Sebewa and John of Danby.
Funeral survives were held at the residence Tuesday afternoon, in charge of Rev. 
Floyd Blewfield. Burial was made in the Sebewa Cemetery.
