Ionia Sentinel Standard, 7 Feb 1922

Charles Evans, G.A.R. Veteran, Laid at Rest

The funeral for Charles Evans was held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the
Bradley-Sparks chapel.  Rev. Charles J. Kruse officiated.  Burial took place in
the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.  The bearers were Fred Owens, Fred
Whitney, Fred Keister, and O.W. Slocum, representing the Sons of Veterans.  The
local G.A.R. post also attended in a body.
