Portland Observer, 5 Mar 1902

Died – February 10, 1902, at her home in Riley township, Clinton county, Mrs. 
Hester Everard, wife of Joseph Everard.  Deceased was a native of Skibbereen, 
County Cork, Ireland, and came to America with her family in 1848.  In 1872 she 
was married at Chicago, and in the spring of 1876? came to Portland where she 
lived for over 20 years.  Deceased is survived by a husband, two sisters, a 
step-son, George J. Everard of Chicago, a daughter, Mrs. H. Grace Morgan, with 
whom she had resided for the past two years.  Funeral services were held at her 
home and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery, Chicago.
