Betty was born May 2, 1925 in Greenville, the daughter of Rollo and Edith Crawford Amidon. She graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1942. Betty was a member of the Belding United Methodist Church and sang in the church choir for many years. She loved her flower garden and growing roses. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Burtenshaw; and her sister, Dorothy Waite. She was married on August 29, 1942 in Grand Ledge to Charles R. Everest and he survives along with their children, Richard and Jaci Everest of Alma, Susan and Robert Smith of Grand Rapids, Amy and Gordon Garvey of Belding; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be at River Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Connie Shatz officiating. In keeping with her wishes, no visitation will take place. Memorial contributions may be given to Spectrum Health Hospice or Belding United Methodist Church. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, where care and service were entrusted.
