He was born in Champaign, Ill., March 21, 1905, son of Sherman and Sadie (Wood) Everett and came with his parents to Lake Odessa at the age of nine. On May 9, 1931, he married Hilda E. Kosbar of Ionia and had been employed by the E. W. Bliss Co. as a drill press operator for 23 years before retirement. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Harold of Clarksville and S/Sgt. Richard Everett, stationed at Fort Belford, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Wright (Dorothy) Robinson of Barclay, Md., Miss Alma Everett of Muskegon, and Mrs. Terrence (Sue) Adams of Comstock Park; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lennis (Helen) Eastman, Grand Ledge, and Mrs. Burton (Lois) Jackson of Flint; and a brother, Dwight Everett of Kalamazoo. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 1:30 at Pickens Funeral Chapel. Rev. Arthur Ruder of Clarksville officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
