She was born Oct. 24, 1924 in Ypsilanti, the daughter fo Clarence and Mildred Shiel Everett. She attended Ypsilanti schools and graduated in 19432. She also attended Mercy College of Nursing and Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, where she received her degree in religious education. She was a registered nurse and a licensed midwife. She served as a medical missionary with the Conservative Baptist Foreign Missionary Society and served in Africa for 39 years. She was a member of the Judson Baptist Church in Illinois, and was affiliated with the Calvary Baptist Church in Marshfield. Surviving are two brothers, Phillip Everett of Napa, Calif., and George Everett of St. Helena, Calif.; a half-brother, Loren Laddick of Reno, Nev.; one step- sister, Frances Thompson of Rochester Hills; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Clarksville Bible Church with Dr.John Slater and the Rev. Joe Everett officiating. Burial will be in South Boston Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Clarksville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Field of the Conservative Baptist Foreign missionary Society.
