She was born September 29, 1908 in North Plains township and was the daughter of Edward and Georgia Herald. Mrs. Fahey spent her entire life in the vicinity and attended St. John the Baptist high school. She also graduated from Ionia County Normal and Central Michigan college. She was married October 22, 1936 to Joseph Fahey. Surviving are three sons, John J., Robert and James at home; three daughters, Mary, Sheila and Patricia and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Herald; five sisters, Mrs. Rose Dyke of Detroit, Miss Jewel Herald of St. Joseph, Mrs. Donna Kelly of Lansing, Mrs. Betty Kelly of Michigan City, Ind., and Mrs. Bernita Cunningham of Hubbardston; three brothers, James of Ionia, Edward of Carson City and Clare of Saginaw. Friends and relatives are being received at the Fahey residence beginning Thursday at noon, where Rosary will be said Thursday and Friday evening at 8 o’clock. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at St. John the Baptist church in Hubbardston and interment will be in the Catholic cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Burns funeral home in Carson City. Officiating will be MSGR J. V. Coyle, Fr. E. R. Fox, Fr. Ralph Kelly and Fr. Bernard Beahan.
