Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Monday, Dec. 12, 1932

Tetanus which followed an injury in a corn shredder December 1, was assigned as 
the cause of the death in Blodgett hospital Sunday evening of Stanley Fahrni, 
18, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Fahrni Jr. The accident happened at the farm 
of Ernest Roth, a neighbor, the young man losing at the time, three of his 
fingers. After he had been treated at the hospital, where it is said he 
received the anti-tetanus serum, he returned home.

His death is the third in the Fahrni family within six weeks and include 
besides this young man, the infant child of James Fahrni and the small son of 
Fred Fahrni. All three were grandchildren of Chris Fahrni Sr. There are seven 
other children in the family of Chris Fahrni, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at the South Boston Congressional church 
Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
