Chris Fahrni, 84, Dies After Short Illness

Lived Here 60 Years

Chris Fahrni, 84 passed away Friday, October 7, in the Pennock Hospital at
Hastings, Michigan following a few days’ Illness.  Born in Switzerland, he came
here quite young with his parents to America, and moved with them into this
vicinity more than 60 years ago.  His wife, formerly, Mabel Heator, passed away
in 1942.  

He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Letha Hillsburg of Spring Lake, Mrs. Beulah
Blough of Bowne, and Mrs. Freda Sebastian  of Vermontville; three sons, Wayne of
Clarksville, Gerald of Ionia and Chris of South Boston; twenty grandchildren and
two great-great grandchildren.  A brother, John of Lowell; and two sisters, Mrs.
Rose Tallant of Lowell and Mrs. Emil Blahnik of New Buffalo.  

Funeral services were held Monday in Lowell at the Roth Funeral Home with the
Rev. Rudy Wittenbach officiating.  Interment was made in South Boston Cemetery.
