Lowell Ledger, 29 Jan 1942

Funeral services were held last Sunday for Mrs. Chris Fahrni, 56,, at the Fahrni
home in Boston-tp., with the Rev. Williams of Baroda officiating.  Burial was
made in the South Boston cemetery.  Mrs. Fahrni passed away last Thursday noon
following an illness of five months.  Mable Heater was born in Berlin tp., Ionia
County, and in September, 1912 was married to Chris Fahrni of South Boston. 
They had resided in that vicinity their entire married life.  To this union were
born seven children, one son, Stanley passing away about nine years ago.  Mrs.
Fahrni was a member of the South Boston Congregational church, an officer in the
South Boston Grange and a member of the P.T.A.  Surviving are the husband, three
daughters, Mrs. Letha Hillsburg of Muskegon, Mrs. Beulah Blough of Clarksville,
Frieda at home; three sons, Chris Jr., Wayne and Gerald all at home; one
brother, Erwin Heater of Ionia.  The sympathy of many friends and neighbors is
extended to members of the bereaved family.
