The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, May 7, 1931
James Robert Fairchild, 61, father of Mrs. Charles Sherwood, of Ionia, died at 
the home of another daughter, Mrs. Lawrence F. Callaghan, 717 Rosewood Avenue, 
SE, Grand Rapids, Wednesday morning.  Surviving is the widow, two daughters, a 
son, T. J. Fairchild, Washington, D. C., and two brothers, Fred L. of 
Hastings, and William H. of Grand Rapids, and seven grandchildren.  Funeral 
services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Greenhoe 
funeral home.  Interment will be in Hastings.
