Robert left Ionia on Friday of last week, and hired out to a farmer to pick apples. He went to work on Saturday morning, and very shortly thereafter, fell from an apple tree, sustaining injuries from which he died, in the Montcalm county infirmary, on Monday morning. His infirmities unfitted him from this kind of labor, and it is not at all strange that he fell. The remains arrived in Ionia this evening at 5:30, and tomorrow will be laid beside his parents in Catholic cemetery, Service at Church of SS. Peter & Paul at 8 o’clock. [Transcriber's Note: There is a notation on the obituary card that he was the son of John and Maria Fanning of Easton Township.] File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/f/fanning2782nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
