He was born on Nov. 20, 1963, in Charlotte, Michigan, the son of Wendal and Shirley Ann (Huff) Farr. Jeff graduated from Saranac High School with the Class of 1983. One of his early jobs was with the Department of Public Works in Stanton, and he also worked at several area manufacturing companies, including Electrolux in Greenville and Anathol Plastics in Belding. He loved working with wood and made many things that he gave to his family members, which they now treasure as items that remind them of him. Jeff was diagnosed with cancer nearly 15 years ago and that long hard struggle brought him back to church. He drew great strength from the faith he developed over the years through his Bible studies and attendance at Saranac Community Church. Jeff is survived by his children, Shurie (Kyle) Simons of Sheridan, Jessica (Skylar Brooks) Farr of Sheridan and Tiffany (Charlie Evans) Miller of East Jordan, Michigan; a granddaughter Eshanna Simons with another one on the way, due in June; his fiancee and dear companion, Marjorie Baker of Saranac; siblings Brenda Thierian of Vermontville, Mary French of Ionia, Becky Farr, Rodney Farr of Charlotte and Mike Farr; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents including a special grandmother, Isabel Huff. No services are being planned at this time. Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge St., Belding, at (616) 794-1300 or verdunfh.com is caring for the arrangements.
