Funeral services for Willard J. Farrell, 84, of 221 Railroad Street, Ionia, who 
died May 14, were held May 17 from Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir.  The Rev. 
Kenneth Harger, Shiloh Community church, officiated.  Burial was in Muir 
Cemetery.

Born in Blanchard Dec. 13, 1902, he was a son of Alonzo and Nora Farrell.  A 
master plumber, he and his brothers operated Farrell Brothers plumbing in Ionia 
for many years.  He was married to the former Angeline Browers in 1923; she 
died in 1978.

Surviving are two daughters, Betty Lou Stoner and Virginia Piggott, both of 
Winter Haven, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and three 
sisters, Irene Elliott of Oregon, Jean Riemsema and Esther Garrett, both of 
Grand Rapids.
