Theresa was born in Grand Rapids on March 14, 1959 to Robert Sr. and Jackie (Ellison) Spetoskey. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1977 and was united in marriage to Mark Farrell on August 25, 1979. Theresa was a very loving and devoted mother and wife. Her love for family and friends was unconditional. She worked as a paraprofessional for Lakewood Public Schools, and also cleaned houses. Her caring and love for all was always very evident, especially for children. Theresa always took time to listen and converse with everyone. Growing up, Theresa enjoyed horseback riding and 4-H. Her hobbies included painting, redoing furniture, flower gardening, landscaping, decorating her home, and reading. Camping and her close relationships up north in the Benzonia area were dear to her heart. She could build an awesome campfire! Theresa was a very special person who will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Mark; children, Luke Farrell and Angela Silvernale, Joshua and Ashley Farrell, and Brittany Farrell; grandchildren, Raylee and Paige Farrell; parents, Robert Sr. and Jackie Spetoskey; grandmother, Stella Spetoskey; sister, Lisa and Harold Andrus; brother, Steve and Lisa Spetoskey; father-in-law, Charles Farrell Sr. and Ruth Courtney; brothers-in-law, Charles and Edith Farrell and Gary Farrell; and many more loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Chad Michael Farrell; brother, Robert Spetoskey Jr.; grandparents, Lawrence Spetoskey, and Marie and Bustance Strawn; and mother-in-law, Gretchen Farrell. Visitation will be held at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa on Sunday, October 5, from 5-8 p.m. and on Monday, October 6, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7 at the Lakewood United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Farrell family for a cause that will be determined at a later time.
