Mrs. Nora Ann Farrell, 84, of 221 Railraod Street, Ionia, died Sunday morning, 
June 16, at 2:45 at the Ionia County Memorial hospital following a lingering 
illness.  She had been ill for the past year and a half.  She had been 
residing with her sons, Michael and Willard.

Mrs. Farrell, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Armstrong, was born June 6, 
1873, near Blanchard.  She was married to Lawrence M. Farrell in Blanchard and 
came to Ionia 40 years ago.  Her husband preceded her in death.

Surviving are these children: Mrs. Irene Elliott of Parkdale, Ore., Michael 
and Willard of Ionia, Mrs. Mabel Carew of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Genevieve 
Dalrymph of Wayland, Mrs. Esther Gearett of Grand Rapids and Cecil died in 
infancy, one brother, Will Armstrong of West Branch and four sisters, Mrs. 
Myrtle Dixon of Nashville; Mrs. Myrtle Grant of New Era, Mrs. Laura Kelley of 
Colorado Springs, Colo., and Lucinda in British Columbia.

Funeral services will take place at the Phelps funeral chapel at 1 p.m. 
Wednesday with the Rev. Heath Goodwin, pastor of the Ionia First Methodist 
church officiating.  Interment will be in Blanchard.
