Ionia County News - Thursday, Nov. 1, 1962

Howard Ray Farrington, 76, of 1027 Dodge St. in Greenville, passed away 
Wednesday, October 24, at 10:45 pm, following an illness of three weeks.

Born on May 28, 1886, in Auburn, Indiana, the son of Simpson and Martha Harding 
Farrington, he had been a resident of Greenville for the past 16 years, where 
he was employed as a night watchman by the Gibson Company. He was a member of 
the Odd Fellow Lodge. He married Nina Pennals in Evans, Michigan, in 1909.

Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Ruth) Bauman of 
Greenville, Mrs. LeRoy (Norma) Petersen of Greenville and Mrs. William (Lena) 
Sherwood of Grand Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Moloney of Missouri; eight 
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 27, at 2:00 pm, at the Huffman 
Funeral Home, in Belding, with the Elder Varian Bauman of the Greenville 
Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints, officiating. Interment was in the Rest 
Haven Memory Gardens.
