Ionia Sentinel, 26 Jan 1971

Fr. Ronald Schneider officiated at funeral services Monday at 1 a.m. at SS. Peter 
and Paul church for Wilbur J. Fate, who died Wednesday in New York.  Bearers were 
his grandsons, Kim, Steve and Bill Fate, Jr., Bob Bennett, Tom Struble and Fred 
Koyish.  Honorary bearers were Dr. H. L. Winchell, Sigurd Strand, Clarence S. 
Johnson, Leo McAlary, William Carr and Rex O’Connor.

Employees of Fate’s supermarket from Ionia, Lake Odessa, Middleville and Carson 
City attended and were seated in a group.
