She was 48 years old. Mary Howard, daughter of Horton and Laura Howard, was born June 4, 1906 at Remus. She attended Ferris Institute, Big Rapids, and taught in various county schools. She attended the First Baptist church and was an active member of the Dorcas Society and the C.C.W. class. She was also a member of Beatrice Rebekah lodge and the Women of the Moose. Surviving are two sons, Howard and William Fate, both of Ionia, and four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Reva Spitza, of Northville, and a brother, Faber Howard, of Beulah. Rev. W. W. Pixley of the First Baptist church will officiate at the funeral service which will be held from Stone-Kauffman Funeral Home at two o’clock on Thursday afternoon. Burial in Highland Park cemetery.
