Faulkner, the well know painter, passed away very suddenly this afternoon. He returned last evening from Shiloh, where he had been doing two or three days work, and seemed to be in usual health and spirits. After dinner, he arose from the table and passed into the adjoining room. Almost immediately his wife was alarmed by a heavy fall, and entered the next room to find her husband stretched on the floor, apparently lifeless. Dr. Beckwith was summoned at once, and pronounced him dead. About two weeks ago, Mr. Faulkner had an attack of the grip, but under the doctor’s care seemed to have fully recovered. His health was usually quite good. He lived at Prairie Creek for several years, but his home has recently been on Allen street. Death is supposed to be caused by heart disease.
