Faulkner of 2674 S. State Road, died Friday morning at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born in Berlin Township, the son of Albert and Etta Hunter Faulkner, and married June Kendall in 1943. A graduate of Ionia High School and Davenport Business College in Grand Rapids, Mr. Faulkner served with the U.S. Army during World War II, and was later an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was employed as director of plant services at Flint General Hospital, previously serving as assistant director of the Mary Free Bed Hospital in Grand Rapids and the former plant superintendent of R. C. Allen Business Machines of Grand Rapids. Mr. Faulkner was a member of the Bio Medical Directors of Greater Grand Rapids Medical Council. Survivors include his wife, June; two daughters, Cheryl Applegate of Tucson, Ariz., and Connie Kopchick of Milwaukee, Wisc.; one brother, Lyle Faulkner of Lake Odessa; two sisters, Helen LaVean of Ionia and Verna Wilson of Belding; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Fist United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carl Hausermann officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
