Mar. 5, 1886 Died, Feb. 4th, 1886, in his nineteenth year, Bert A. Faulkner, at the home of his aunt, Mrs. S.S. Sherwood, near Palo, of diphtheria. He had twice before had the disease at his home in Chautauqua, N.Y. All that good care and medical attendance could do was done, but without avail. He was delirious a part of the time during his illness, but during his lucid intervals did not complain of pain and did not fear death. He put his trust in Him who is able to save. Just before his death his aunt, placing her hand on his head said, "Bert, you are a very sick boy." "Yes, aunt." "I am afraid you are not going to get well." "All right; I am ready," said the brave boy. March 1st was to have been his wedding day. The beautiful young girl of his choice has the love, respect and sympathy of all.
