   DAILY SENTINEL STANDARD, IONIA, MICH., Friday, Dec. 17, 1948, page 5: 
"Deaths - HERBERT WARREN FAULKNER, 72, 414 Division street, died Thursday
morning after five years' illness.  His health began a sharp downward trend a
few years ago.
   He was born October 15, 1876, in Ionia the son of Frank Warren Faulkner and
Ione Faulkner.  He attended the Ionia public schools and was a painter by trade.
 In 1911 he married Anna Bennett of Ionia.
   He leaves the wife and a brother, Arch, of Detroit.
   Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Myers funeral home
with Dr. Paul Stewart officiating.  Interment will be in the Balcom cemetery. 
Please omit the flowers."

   DAILY SENTINEL STANDARD, IONIA, MICH., Monday, Dec. 20, 1948:  "Deaths -
HERBERT W. FAULKNER - Funeral services for Herbert W. Faulkner, 72, 414 Division
street, who died Thursday morning after five years' illness, were held from the
Myers funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Dr. Paul Stewart
officiated.  Interment was in the family lot of Balcom cemetery.
   His bearers were Miles, Garold, Seigel and George Bennett.
   Attending the services from out of town were Mr and Mrs Arch Faulkner and
daughter, Geraldyne; Thomas Carlsey and Mr and Mrs Vern Anderson of Detroit; Lee
Anderson of Marshall; Edward Nolty of Lyons; Mr and Mrs Carl Woodbury and
William Nolty of Muir; Mr and Mrs Theodore Bennett of Lowell; and Mrs. Ida Tew
of Lake Odessa."
