                             FAULKNER

June Arlene Faulkner, age 102, of Ionia passed away March 11, 2023. She was born 
July 26, 1920, in Ionia, Michigan the daughter of Eldon and Blanch (Hill) 
Kendall. June attended Central High School in Grand Raids and would later attend 
Ionia Public Schools, graduating in 1937 at the age of 16. She was young to 
attend County Normal, so she gained experience working in a doctor's home in Ann 
Arbor.June attended Osceola County Normal and later Michigan State University 
and Ferris State University until receiving her bachelor's degree from Central 
Michigan University.She would further the education later receiving her master's 
degree from Michigan State University.She taught in several rural area schools 
in Ionia county until joining the staff at Saranac in1968 where she taught 3rd 
grade. June joined the Lakewood Public Schools in 1976 working there for 25 
years.

She married Donald Faulkner April 23, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1981. 
Together they raised two daughters, Cheryl and Connie. She was active member of 
the Ionia Community.

June is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Richard) Applegate of Tucson, AZ, 
Connie (Dr. John) Kopchick of Grand Rapids, five grandsons Jeff (Danielle) 
Applegate, Peter (Nadia) Applegate, Johnathan(Katie) Kopcick, Nathaniel (Becky) 
Kopchick and Michael (Krista) Kopchick and nine great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Those wishing may make 
memorial contributions to "Just Like Home Adult Care." Arrangements in care of
