     Excerpts from Lansing Obituary

       SHIRLEY ANN (LEVALLEY) FAY

Died January 14, 2025-age 92 at Roscommon.
Born July 1, 1932 in Grand Rapids,MI to Frederick & Hildagard (Steinke)LeValley.
Shirley was raised in Ionia,MI & graduated from Butterworth Nursing College.
She married Frederick Fay October 31, 1953 & they raised 3 sons, Fred, Steve & 
Jeff.
Shirley enjoyed camping with her husband & sons, ice skating, snowmobiling & 
just about anything outdoors with her family.
Shirley was the neighbor hood watch lady & the one the kids went to when they 
scraped themselves up playing at the neighborhood park.
She was always up for an adventure & loved being grandma & made their visits a 
special time.
Preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; brother, Richard LaValley.
Surviving are her sons, Frederick(Barbara)Fay II, Steven (Maureen) Fay, & 
Jeffrey(Beth) Fay; grandchildren, Kathryn (Justin) Niemchick, Erin (Justin) 
Lehman, Amanda(Justin) Fata, Molly (Caleb) Higbie, & Kristopher (Hannah Neahr) 
Kellogg; great-grandchildren, Jake. Lucas, Jaycie, Cecilia, Layla, Josie & Enzo, 
as well as several nieces & nephews.
DUE TO NOROVIRUS OUTBREAK WITHIN THE FAMILY VISITATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED. THE 
SERVICE HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE CEMETERY. GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 11:30 
A.M. AT CHAPEL HILL MEMORIAL GARDENS IN LANSING.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:30, at the Estes-
Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. 
Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Compassus Hospice in memory of Shirley 
Fay.
