The death of Wm. Fea Tuesday afternoon marked the passing of one of Ionia's older inhabitants, deceased being 77 years old and a resident of Ionia for 50 years or more. Funeral services will be held at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Samuel Wilsie, Friday afternoon at two o'clock and at the Methodist church at 2:30, Rev. C.E. Hoag, assisted by Rev. R.B. Chapman, officiating. Interment in Highland Park. Deceased was born in 1839 in Flint, Mich. Aside from a time when he resided in Jackson, he has made Ionia his home. He was a carpenter by trade and was also for many years in the employ of Roscoe Hearsey. Mrs. Fea died November 16, 1892, since which time he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Wilsie. The illness preceding his death had been of six weeks' duration, following a stroke of paralysis. Besides Mrs. Wilsie, there are two other children, Charles Fea of Breckenridge, and Mrs. Glenn Wasnich of Belding. He leaves two sisters, Ms. Jas Chase of Ionia township, and Mrs. Sarah Raymond of Kansas, and three brothers, Robert of Morenci, Mich., Charles of Kansas, and George of South Carolina. Three sisters and a brother have preceded him to the Great Beyond. there are also three grandchildren and one great grandchild. _______________________________________________ Wednesday, January 2, 1917 Wm. Fea died this afternoon at 2:30 at his home on Pleasant street. Funeral announcement later. Today was moving day in the county offices. Only in two of them did ned faces appear. county Treasurer Gates was on hand to take up his new duties and will be on the job from now on. Ex-treasurer Sparks will be in the office for a time. Prosecuting Attorney Watt transferred the prosecutor's office from the court house to the Morse-Babcock block where his offices are being fitted up. The new prosecutor opened his term of office by taking charge of the examination of I. Schmidt, arrested New Year's for forgery.
