Dorothy G. Fedewa, 84, of Portland, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003.  She 
was born October 28, 1918, in Portland the daughter of Anthony and Rosina (Fox) 
Gross.

Mrs. Fedewa was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Portland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1995, sister, Pauline Pung 
and five brothers, Louis, Oscar, Herman, Leo and Richard Gross.

Surviving are a daughter, Gladys (Robert) Fisher of Holt; six sons, Raymond 
(Judy) Fedewa of Portland, Ronald (Carolyn) Fedewa of Grand Ledge, William 
(Agnes) Fedewa of Shelby Township, James (Ann) of Portland, Hilary (Sue) Fedewa 
of Big Rapids, and David (Ann) Fedewa of Portland; 25 grandchildren; 14 great 
grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Kathileen Gross and Agnes Gross.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Charles D. Hall, Pastor, at 
11 a.m., Thursday at St. Patrick’s Church with Rite of Committal following at 
Portland Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman 
Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 
p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday.  The rosaries will be prayed at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. 
both days.  For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the Fr. 
Flohe Foundation, c/o St. Patrick’s Parish, 140 Church St., Portland, MI 48875 
in memory of Mrs. Fedewa.
