He was born October 3, 1913, in Lansing, the son of Joseph and Christine (Hoppes) Fedewa. He married Beatrice Lowrey on November 5, 1939, in Angola, Indiana, and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Patricia Gattner of Lake Odessa; three brothers, Les (Helen) Fedewa of Portland, Fred “Fritz” (Mae Rose) Fedewa of Portland and Thomas Fedewa of Ionia; two sisters, Jeanette (Paul) Echlin of Indiana and Mildred Denny of Lansing; one granddaughter, Monya (Melvin) Wortley of Lake Odessa; one grandson, David (Amy) Lozo of Lake Odessa; great- grandchildren, Trulana and Audra Wortley, Kristin, Dallas and Annalise Lozo; brother-in-law, Clayton Lowrey of Saranac; dear friends, Bill and Evelyn Hecht, Dorothy Seiler and Terry and Nat Lefke; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac, with the Rev. Harley Koehn of the Living Gospel Church of Lake Odessa officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in Balcom Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia County Humane Society or the Living Gospel Church of Lake Odessa.
