Feldpausch, 64, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2005, surrounded by love and his family at his home in Trufant. Jack was a long time resident of Portland, MI where he spent most of his life. He was born on March 2, 1941 and graduated from Portland St. Patrick's in 1959. His strong work ethic was proven by his commitment to Abrams Aerial Survey and Aerocon for over 42 years. He married the love of his life, Roxie, with whom he spent 44 memory filled years. Together they worked on their home in Trufant, renovating it for more then seven years. Jack was a quiet man, a gentle soul, and an arm chair philosopher. His generous spirit he shared will be missed by many. Many interests included pool, bowling, food, Nascar and racing. But his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and special friends. Family, to Jack, went beyond mere blood lines. One of his famous quotes was: "The first time you are a guest, after that you're family". He was preceded in death by his parents, John "Joe" and Doris Feldpausch. Surviving are his best friend, wife and lover, Roxanna; children, John L. Feldpausch, Jr. and wife Holly, of Ionia, MI, Mark Feldpausch of Wichita, KS, Penelope Christensen and husband Gary, of Trufant, MI and Patricia Feldpausch and husband George "Chip" Weygandt, Jr. of Pewamo, MI; special grandchildren, Lauren, Ethan and Elliott Christensen, and Cooper, Parker and Jackson Weygandt. Also surviving are sisters, Judi (Jim) McCarthy and Barb (Tim) Beech; brothers-in-law, Tom (Marilyn) Balderson and Joe (Sue) Balderson; many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Dr. Jason Beckrow, for caring for Dad so much, and allowing his last days to be spent at home with his family. The Memorial Mass was held Nov. 29 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Portland with the Rev. Larry King, Pastor presiding. Arrangements were entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be given to the family for college funds for his grandchildren, in memory of Mr. John "Jack" L. Feldpausch.
