James M. Fellows, 80, a lifelong resident of Lake Odessa, died at 7:15 Saturday 
morning in Roselawn convalescent home in Lansing where he had been a patient 11 
days.  Mr. Fellows had spent his entire life at the home at 806 Jordan Lake 
street, where he was born October 29, 1880.  He was the son of Peter and Mary 
Hassinger Fellows.

Mr. Fellows was a member of Central Methodist church of Lake Odessa, and served 
as a volunteer fireman for many years.  He was a retired farmer and gravel pit 
owner, and for a number of years operated a natural ice storage house.

He was married in 1905 to Ella M. Snyder who died in 1941.  Also preceding him 
in death were a daughter, Helen, in 1926, and a son, Willard, in 1951.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lyla (Donelda) Ritter of Lansing; 10 
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  

The body reposes at Pickens funeral chapel where services will be held Tuesday 
at 1:30 p.m.  Burial will be at Lakeside cemetery and the Rev. R. J. Fitch will 
officiate.
