VAN FENDER DEAD

Van Fender, 79, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs.Oliver Brovont, southwest 
of Sunfield, Monday morning after a few weeks's illness.

Mr.Fender was born in Putnam county, Ohio, January 21, 1855, and came  to this 
community when a boy of 10 years.

Funeral services were held from the Brovont home, Wednesday afternoon, with 
interment at Lake Odessa cemetery.

Besides the daughter, he is survived by a son, Lewis of Grand Ledge; another 
son, Melvin, died six months ago; two brothers, Peter of Woodbury and Elias of 
Ohio.
