Ionia County News, 23 Apr 1942

Mason George Fenderson, 63, a Spanish War Veteran and son of Mrs. Theresa 
Fenderson, Lafayette street, Ionia, died in Modesta, California, Monday after 
an illness of several years.   He was born in Ionia and operated a barber, and 
beauty shop here for several years.  About 10 years ago he went to Lansing and 
continued in the barber business for about four years, until ill health forced 
him to discontinue his trade.  He left Michigan for Modesta, where he has since 
lived.

Surviving are his widow, the former Olive Sible of Ionia, now of Modesta; and 
one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Blizzard of Conrad, New Jersey; his mother, Mrs. 
Theresa Fenderson, Ionia and a brother, Claude Fenderson of Rochelle, Ill.  
Burial was in Modesta.
