She was born in Constantine Jan. 27, 1914 the daughter of Elton Perry and Edna Mae Fenner. Lucille graduated from Martin High School and moved with her family to Portland in 1932. she worked a number of different occupations over the course of her long and fruitful life. After retiring from General Motors Corporation in 1972, she remained in Portland until her passing. "Auntie" as she was affectionately known to everyone, devoted her life to helping others. Her passion was tending to her yard and garden, which she continued to do to the last day of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leon (Irene) Fenner; niece, Sharon Fenner. Surviving are her nieces and nephew: Wayne (Beverly) Fenner of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., Jill Allen of Woodstock, Ga., and Wendy (Gary) Kimble of Hastings; their children, Stacey (Todd) Lahr of Charlotte, Heath May of Clarksville, Chad May of Jasper, Ga., Jordan Kimble of Hastings, and Alex Kimble of Hastings. Memorial services were conducted by the Rev. Gregory Wolfe, Pastor of the Portland United Methodist Church, Nov. 20 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.
