A neighbor Mrs.Kenneth Lancaster called at the house and found it locked and could not arouse Mildred.She called her sister Mr and Mrs John (Thelma) Homan at Grand Ledge and on their arrival they entered the house and found Mrs Ferencz on the floor. Sheriff Peter VanVleck and Coroner Dale Kauffman of Ionia were called to investigate but reported she had died of natural causes, an apparent heart condition. They believed she had been dead since about six o'clock on Tuesday evening. Mrs Ferencz, was born at Kinross in the upper Peninsula, daughter of Charles and Samantha Dysinger, and had lived in the local area for 51 years. Her husband John passed away twelve years ago. The only survivor is her sister at Grand Ledge. Funeral services were held on Monday at 330 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Luther Brokaw officiated.
