Letha L. Ferguson, 90, of Fenwick, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 at the 
Laurels of Carson City. She was born on Sept. 3, 1920 in Carson City, the 
daughter of Irvin and Bernice (Brice) Durbin.

Letha was preceded in death by her first husband, Emerson Walker, in 1961 and 
her second husband, George Ferguson in 1972. Also preceding her in death were 
four children, Robert, Thomas, Kathy and another infant daughter; one sister, 
Lorena; and two brothers, William and Lawrence. 

Surviving are her children, Janice and Duane Braman of Stanton, Terri and Bryan 
King of Stanton, Jerry and Betty Walker of Fenwick, Bruce Walker of Fenwick; 
tow step children, Dannon and Bonnie Ferguson of Fenwick, and Gene Ferguson of 
Canada; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, 
Ethel Durbin of Carson City.

Mrs. Ferguson has been a longtime resident of the Fenwick area. She graduated 
from Carson City High School in 1937, graduated from the Central Michigan 
teachers College and went on to teach in rural schools for over 30 years, 
finally retiring from the Saranac schools.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, beginning at 2 p.m. 
at the Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan, with Pastor Susan Poynter 
officiating, Interment will be at the Clear Lake Cemetery, Fenwick. 

Visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening 
from 5 until 7 p.m.

The family has suggested for those desiring to do so, that memorial 
considerations can be made to the Saranac schools library. There will be 
envelopes available at the funeral home.
