Ferguson, veterinarian in Ionia county for a number of years, died at the home of her daughter, 146 Maple street, Fowlerville, Monday afternoon at 4:45. She had been residing in Fowlerville since January 13 and had been ill since October 1. Born in Ionia county June 21, 1871, she was a daughter of Levinas and Mary Ritenburg and was married to Dr. W.H. Ferguson June 22, 1887 in Ionia. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary in 1947. Mr. Ferguson died April 25, 1952. Prior to moving to Fowlerville, Mrs. Ferguson made her home at Haslett. A member of Bethany circle of the First Christian church, she also attended the church and was a former member of the Rebekah lodge of Ionia. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mary Eddy of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Exie Elliott of Haslett, Mrs. Donna Gadbois of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Lois W. Campbell of Fowlerville, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Boynton funeral home Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock and interment will be Tuttle cemetery.
