Ferguson, life time resident of Ionia county, died at his home at Ferguson’s Corners, Sunday morning, May 18. He was 80 years old and had been in ill health for several years. Mr. Richardson was born at Maple Corners June 4, 1861. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ferguson. For many years he operated a blacksmith and machine shop at the Corners site where he lived for 40 years. He is survived by his widow, the former Mary Carbaugh, whom he married in 1880, a sister, Mrs. C. I. Goodwin, Ionia, and two brothers, Dr. W. H. Ferguson, Ionia, and E. T. Ferguson of Grand Rapids. Rev. Ralph Bates of the LeValley church conducted the funeral service held from the home at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, May 20. Burial was in Tuttle cemetery.
