The Ionia County News, Thursday, February 19, 1948


Mrs. Florence Ferguson, 63, of 634 E. Washington, died Sunday evening, 
February 15, at the American Legion Hospital in Battle Creek.  Mrs. Ferguson 
was born February 1, 1885, in Montcalm County, and married to Lewis Ferguson 
January 15, 1905.  They lived near Pierson until 1916, when they moved to 
Cedar Springs.  Ten years ago they moved to Ionia.

Surviving are the husband, four sons, Donald Ferguson of Ionia, C. B. Ferguson 
and George Ferguson of Palo and Clifford Ferguson at home; twin daughters, 
Mrs. Leola Wieczorek of Ionia and Mrs. Leona Martin of Howell; 12 
grandchildren; a brother, Melvin Ogg, of Howard City, and three sisters, Mrs. 
Veda Parm, Mrs. Lyle Bryant and Mrs. Addie Williams, all of Grand Rapids.

Funeral service was conducted by Rev. A. J. Westmaas Wednesday afternoon with 
burial in Coral cemetery.
