The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, October 8, 1962

Funeral service for Mrs. Ruth Ferman, 52, will be held at Myers funeral home 
Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ray R. Fassett, pastor of Evangelical United 
Brethren church, officiating.  A resident of Ionia 46 years, Mrs. Ferman died 
Saturday afternoon at her home at 333 Railroad street where she had lived the 
past 34 years.

She was born July 16, 1910 in Carson City the daughter of Albert and Minnie 
Urie Bennett.  Her husband Clyde, died a year ago in July.

Mrs. Ferman is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jean Jones of Silvis, Ill.; her 
mother, Mrs. Neils Neilsen of Ionia; four brothers, James W. Bennett of Lyons, 
Fred of Battle Creek, and Ward and Otis Bennett of Ionia; six sisters, Mrs. 
Hazel Hart of Battle Creek, Mrs. Betty Howard of Hialeah, Fla., Mrs. Donnabell 
Matthews, Mrs. Wilma Whorley and Mrs. Nancy Helmes of Ionia, and Mrs. Joan 
Melchert of Opa Locka, Fla.  

Burial will be at Tuttle cemetery.
